CHAPTER 2-A - CELEBRATE THEIR DIFFERENCES

Personality Types

This chapter gives the readers descriptions of the four basic personality types. It is an interesting read that will save the parents and the sons a lot of trouble due to unmet expectations. It will also enable the parents and children to appreciate each other's individuality.

IN A NUTSHELL:
Because we are all born with unique personalities, it is very important to acknowledge and in fact celebrate these differences. Let all family members acknowledge that there is no superior or inferior personality type. Being aware of how each family member is wired not only fosters harmonious family relations but also provides fun and excitement for all.

@Aug 2, 2011 Guest. I'm glad you like the info in this chapter. I hope it will come in handy to you when you deal with your children's (or other people's) different personalities. In fact, this info also helps me understand myself more - why I react to certain things in certain ways.

@Mar 222, 2011 Guest - Acknowledging our children's individual personalities as well as our (parents') own really make it easier to understand each other. It saves a lot of family drama and even enables us to efficiently use our individual talents in our family endeavors.

I encountered this topic of the 4 temperaments a long time ago in my Psychology class. Thanks for including it in your book. It helped me appreciate the individuality of my children. And you are right, there is no superior and inferior personality. Very helpful chapter.
