RAISING MONEY SMART KIDS (PhilStar.com)

Raising MoneySmart Kids on March 17, 2012 1-5pm at Crowne Plaza; PhilStar.com article

I'm quite excited preparing for the half day workshop I will conduct on March 17, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza. This is being arranged by the Registered Financial Planners of the Philippines (RFP). Parents and children are welcome to attend this activity together. I wish to share with you this article that came out in PhilStar.com.

Raising Money Smart Kids
(The Philippine Star) Updated February 21, 2012 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - Parents always want to provide the best for their children. They send them to the best schools they can afford, provide them with comfortable homes, recreation and all possible learning opportunities in order for them to grow to their fullest potential. However, they know that they cannot be with their children forever. What happens if children who are so used to the good things in life are left on their own to fend for themselves?

This is the reason why it is best to educate children on money matters as early as possible. Today, there is a growing realization of the importance of children's financial literacy. The Registered Financial Planners (RFP) of the Philippines presents a workshop for parents and children on March 17, 2012; 1-5pm at the Crowne Plaza. The half day workshop is entitled Raising Money Smart Kids.

The workshop will be conducted by Rose Fres Fausto, author of best-selling book Raising Pinoy Boys. She will share her two decades of raising money smart sons, who have been stock investors as early as grade school. She will also share some of the lessons learnt from the stories of successful Pinoy men featured in her book: Lance Gokongwei, Tony Meloto, Tony Tan Caktiong, Bo Sanchez, the Tan Brothers, and Chris Tiu.

Parents and children will also have the chance to ask their questions to the author and her sons during the open forum.

Interested parties may contact the RFP to reserve via telephone no. 382-4530 or info@rfp.ph. Inquire about parent and child discounts. You may also visit the Facebook page of Raising MoneySmart Kids or www.RaisingPinoyBoys.com.

Raising children to be money smart is one of the best gifts parents can give to them and to our country.

Can I just say what a aid to seek out someone who truly is aware of what tehyre speaking about on the internet. You positively know find out how to carry an issue to gentle and make it important. More individuals need to learn this and perceive this facet of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you positively have the gift.

Hi Irene. Yes it is. In fact, my 3 sons are joining me in the workshop so I expect it to be lively. The participants can hear from the young ones as well. I hope you can come.

It's hard to find educated people on this topic, but you sound like you realize what you're speaking about! Thanks,
